Microsoft support for Windows XP will be ending within hours of these words being written, and by the time you are reading these words, it will all be over. Retirement. April 8 was the big day, after which there will be no more security updates. If your organization is still running on Windows XP, security and privacy risks will be more of a concern with each passing week, as your PCs will become more vulnerable to harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software that can steal or damage your business data and information.
Due to the illness of the economy after 2008, plenty of organizations were understandably reticent to upgrade their operating systems (OS) from Windows XP. But the illness has passed, and at some point you’ll want to get on the latest business management software technology, before your organization falls ill, and behind. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 will no longer be supporting Windows XP either, so if you want to use the best CRM solution out there, an upgrade will be necessary.
If you haven’t gotten around to upgrading to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013, you’ll want to get on that too. It has a faster and more efficient user interface, new access teams for sharing access to records, and support for CRM use by smartphones and tablets.
