Reengineering (BPR)
Through Integration
By identifying strategic integrations, MIG & Co. consultants
can assist you in streamlining business processes and help you build
a more tightly integrated organization and operating environment.
Background
A startup company needed a low-cost business management software
solution that could integrate with their in-house UltiPro PEO (integrated
payroll and employee management software suite) system.
The founders of the company wanted to reduce administrative costs
by tightly integrating their business management systems so that
data flowed from one point to another, without the need for manual
intervention.
In their line of business, invoicing employers is normally a manual
process with an Accountant entering each payable into the system
from a paper report, taking much more time and running the risk
of errors.
Solutions/Integrated Functions
The best time to improve business processes is during a system implementation.
In fact, not reviewing business processes while implementing new
systems runs the risk of simply automating “old or bad”
processes.
While the company was implementing Ultimate Software’s UltiPro
PEO (packaged payroll and employee management suite) to streamline
and automate payroll, benefits, and human resource functions, MIG
prepared a business improvement / technical specification document
to facilitate the integration of their product into Microsoft Dynamics Business Solutions Great Plains (GP). We developed a core set of integration modules
that provided integration through COM with Great Plains (GP).
Currently, the integrated system automatically moves: invoices,
garnishing and liens information, insurance payments, and other
key information from UltiPro into Microsoft Dynamics Business Solutions Great Plains (GP).
Return On Investment
The integration saves time and ensures that the Microsoft Dynamics Business Solutions Great Plains (GP) receivables reports have the latest information.
As our client revamps their business, their time savings will be
even greater. They will have no problem in doubling the number of
worksite employee that each accounting person can handle compared
to the founders experience at their previous company, and to the
industry averages.
