One of MIG & Co’s core methodologies is the idea of “Buy
vs. Build”. The reasoning behind this philosophy resides in
the ongoing maintenance of applications, the continued support,
and the high cost of developing a system or piece of functionality
from scratch. MIG & Co. pays particular attention in selecting
what business systems to support. One of the deciding factors is
the ISV (Independent Software Vendor), community building functionality,
modules, and entire systems that sit on top and seamlessly integrate
into our selected core business systems. Our goal is to first go
to the ISV community, verify the validity, stability, and company
backing the product- and present this to you as a solution.
Conversely, if your business processes are incredibly unique and
we are not able to find an “Off-the-shelf” solution,
rest assured we have the programming knowledge and skills to develop
real-time transactional systems to meet what ever requirements that
you may have. These special programming initiatives are preferably
developed in the business logic layer of the application but if
required, MIG is more than comfortable with the core programming
language of Great Plains (GP), Dexterity. Our methodical custom development,
testing, and deployment process has been utilized by both small
to mid-market companies, as well as some of the largest Defense
