Central Supply was on a very old version of Microsoft Dynamics GP. They wanted to move to a cloud solution for better support and a more stable environment.

With the business on a growth path after recovering from a downturn in the construction industry, Central Supply Company wanted to upgrade from the older version of Microsoft Great Plains which had been installed in 2002 and was running on premise.
They wanted to upgrade to the latest version of GP and move the installation to the cloud for a more stable and reliable environment.

The company went from running Microsoft GP version 9 to the current 2018 version.
Eliminate Incremental Upgrades
Moving the GP installation from on-premise to the cloud eliminated the need to make incremental upgrades to old software, saving time and resources.

A cloud-based solution converts a capital expense to an operational expense. Central Supply Company no longer has to maintain hardware, software, and infrastructure on site to support their Microsoft Great Plains Solution.
They now have the reliability of a monthly cost without the need to incur SQL, Windows, server maintenance charges.
Reduce Dependence on Outsourced IT
The Central Supply team uses an outsourced IT staff. Moving Dynamics GP to the cloud eliminates the need to engage the IT team for system upgrades. Central Supply will now be able to stay up to date and take advantage of all new features without bringing in the external IT staff.
