Business Intelligence and Reporting Capabilities in Dynamics SL 2015

The following business intelligence modules and features come with the Business Essentials edition of Microsoft Dynamics SL:

Quick Query enables you to connect to more than 100 predefined views of your financial data. Its interactive screen sorts and selects information, and enables filtering and saving of custom views or connecting to a custom SQL Server view. It can give you refreshable Excel documents and pivot tables. The Quick Query web app gives you access to information on the go, via your phone or tablet. The Quick Query Editor connects you to custom SQL Server views and enables you to choose which fields to display and which Microsoft Dynamics SL screen to drill back.

One Management Reporter Viewer & Designer User is included with each SL user. Additional users can be purchased a la carte. The Designer license includes the Administrator and Designer roles within Management Reporter. These roles enable the user to administer, design, generate, and view reports with access to both Report Designer and Report Viewer.

Microsoft SQL Server includes the capabilities to create, edit, and host SQL Server Report. Crystal Reports is the industry-leading report writer and is included with Microsoft Dynamics SL System Manager. It enables you to modify any existing report or create an unlimited number of custom reports. Select, analyze, summarize, and present data in almost any way imaginable.

In addition, Microsoft Forecaster comes with the Advanced Management edition of Microsoft Dynamics SL, and it is available a la carte for the Business Essentials edition. Collaborate and view SQL Reporting Services reports, Management Reporter reports, and Excel charts from one central location, working wherever you want and on whatever device you choose.
