Microsoft Dynamics SL, the project-focused ERP solution for project-driven organizations, has all the supply chain management functionality most organizations require in the Business Essentials edition, and we discussed those modules in our last blog entry. But if your organization has unique or specialized supply chain management needs, other modules are available with the Advanced Management edition or a la carte. Those advanced supply chain management modules include the following:
- eCommerce Connector
- Inventory Replenishment
- Orders to Purchase
- Shipping Management
The Requisitions module comes with the Advanced Management edition of Microsoft Dynamics SL, and it is also available a la carte for the Business Essentials edition. This module reduces paperwork by enabling employees to enter purchase requisitions online for manager approval and automatic transfer to purchase order processing.
The eCommerce Connector is available a la carte for either edition of Microsoft Dynamics SL, and it enables you to conduct business electronically. It works with the Order Management module to help integrate and automate business transactions with customers, vendors, and remote warehouses.
The other modules are available a la carte for the Advanced Management edition of Microsoft Dynamics SL. Inventory Replenishment enables you to replace inventory more accurately with integrated tools that optimize inventory stocking levels and automate purchasing. Orders to Purchase enables you to accurately promise customers the goods they want, when they want them. And the Shipping Management module enables you to build the content to create shipping labels, put together shipment detail, charge shipments, and much more.
